If you want to explore the Fae Realms and discover every secret that lies within the world of Nightingale, you will need Ink for all your travels. Ink (Alchemical Ink) is a very specific resource that can be used to craft Realm Cards to travel to different destinations in the game.
How To Get Ink In Nightingale
You need to put one glass and one refined pigment inside the Simple Mortar Station to get your alchemical ink in Nightingale. But before you can even produce the ink, you need to make a simple mortar station.
To make a Simple Mortar Station you need:
- 3x Lumber
- 8x Fibre
Then open up the station to find the Refinement tab to make a batch of Refined Pigment. For refined pigment you will need:
- Berries
- Mushrooms
- Meat
- Ore
- Flowers
After you have put these ingredients in the ingredient slots, you will get the Refined Pigment which can be used to create Alchemical Ink. (You do not need all the ingredients for the Refined Pigment; a few of them will do.)

Alchemical Ink can then be combined with paper to create Realm Cards, which are essentially portals used to travel between different realms of the game. Realm Cards also unlock new areas to travel and unveil hidden secrets in Nightingale.
