Before its full release, Last Epoch was in early access for nearly five years. The game was only available to PC players during this long period. With version 1.0 coming soon, many console players have been wondering if they can play Last Epoch on PS5 and Xbox.
Will Last Epoch Release On PS5 & Xbox?
Last Epoch will not be coming to PS5 and Xbox consoles upon its 1.0 release on February 21, 2024.
However, this does not mean that Last Epoch will never be playable on consoles. Six months ago, a fan inquired on the game’s official subreddit whether the developer had any plans for a console version. The CEO of Eleventh Hour Games, Judd Cobler, was quick to respond,
“Very likely”
Cobler also clarified that although the development team has always believed the game will eventually come to consoles, it won’t happen at the 1.0 version launch. He stated that their priority will be first to ensure that
“PC production and live ops pipeline is well established and smooth”
It’s been six months since this interaction, and the developer still hasn’t announced any release window for Last Epoch PS5 & Xbox versions. Despite the developer’s wishes to eventually port this game to consoles, the final decision will largely depend upon the performance and reception of the 1.0 release.
