Fallout 4’s player count has reached a new high on Steam after the popularity of the Fallout TV show on Prime Video. However, the player count could still rise with the release of the Next-Gen Update for Fallout 4, which was announced in conjunction with the show’s release. Console players have been stuck with sluggish 30fps and lower fidelity for years, so let’s find out when the Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update is dropping for those systems.
Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update Release Date
The Fallout 4 Next-Gen Update for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S drops on April 25. All players who own Fallout 4 will receive this update for free. This will improve overall fidelity and provide a quality and performance mode with up to 60 fps on performance mode.
The PC version of Fallout 4 is also getting its own update that brings full widescreen and ultra-widescreen support along with a host of bug fixes. This update will also make Fallout 4 Steam Deck verified.
