Assassin’s Creed Mirage, the 13th game of the series, might release sooner than fans could’ve expected. A Reddit user by the handle of mynameisusername7, supposedly a GameSpot employee, has apparently found out at work that the game will be release in August, which is barely 3 months away.
In a reddit post, the Redditor featured a photo of their work computer which shows a release calendar. The calendar also includes other games, ones that have publicized their release dates, alongside Assassin’s Creed Mirage, tagged for release in August.
The developer of this series, Ubisoft, has already started collecting pre-orders for the game, with the standard edition priced at $49.99 and deluxe edition costing $59.99. Ubisoft is offering players a chance to get their hands first on the game when it’s released, as they are currently only taking pre-orders for the digital edition of the game for platforms such as PC, Xbox, PS4, and PS5. With the release date now rumored to be nearing, the Ubisoft store is likely to record more footfall.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage release rumor creates excitements among hardcore fans
Assassin’s Creed has a staunch and dedicated fan following. While a lot of people on the Reddit thread are excited, some can’t help but feel apprehensive. Looking at the so-called evidence from the leaker, one can’t help but wonder if it’s just another placeholder.
The developer had announced the game in September 2022, with a 2023 release pipeline. Originally though, Ubisoft had considered launching Mirage as an expansion pack for their latest game, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
According to the developers, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is going to be an epic adventure that remains true to the series’ roots and strives to return to the same principles and elements that made millions fall in love with Assassin’s Creed.
