Larian Studios has revealed new details about the upcoming patch 6 for Baldur’s Gate 3. The developer has issued information about various fixes as well as sizes for the upcoming patch.
In a recent X post, Larian Studios revealed the exact sizes for Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 6. The upcoming patch will be 21 GB for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox. It also revealed that the patch will require PC and Steam Deck players to have a whopping 150 GB of free space on their consoles to run the update.
To counter the problems created by the massive patch size, the developer has recommended that PC and Steam Deck players uninstall the existing BG3 on their consoles and re-download the latest version that will include the patch. The developer also claims that BG3 Patch 6 will be made available for Mac users. However, it looks like Mac users will have to wait a bit longer to receive this update.
Apart from the patch size and previously announced Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 6 details, the new post reveals many more fixes that fans can expect. Patch 6 will make replacing existing companions easier. Players can now dismiss the recruited companion by simply engaging in dialogue with another companion they want to replace the former with.
Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 6 will also fix the issues with Rebuke of the Mighty as well as Shield Bash. This will lead to the players successfully landing Saving Throws. Furthermore, after Patch 6, the automatically triggered dialogues will try to prioritize the player’s avatar as the main speaker, making sure that the player character becomes the star of the gameplay.
Larian Studios, however, is yet to announce the official release date for Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 6.
