Chrono Odyssey, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game (MMORPG), has attracted a lot of attention since the developer Npixel released a gameplay trailer yesterday. Fans of the genre are waiting impatiently for the title, as there are not many MMORPG games that usually launch on gaming consoles. Chrono Odyssey, on the other hand, is set to release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X & S, as well as PC. While there’s a lot of speculation as to when this massive open world RPG will hit the consoles, the rumor mill suggests the title will not drop until next year.
According to MMORPG website, the game was expected to go through testing in 2021 and release in 2023, however, it seems unlikely as the year progresses without any concrete updates. The newly released gameplay trailer doesn’t indicate any release window either. It is safe to assume the game wouldn’t release anytime this year.
As these types of MMORPG titles require numerous alpha and beta tests, we can expect the title to drop in 2024, maybe even 2025. As the game is created using the new Unreal Engine 5 and features a massive open world, it will be required to undergo rigorous gaming and environmental rendering tests.

Through Chrono Odyssey, players will be able to explore the magical world of Setera and use a powerful ancient artifact called the chronotector to alter time. The game will feature a highly detailed world with immensely tall structures and wide open spaces riddled with enemies to fight, quests to undertake, and treasures to find. Chrono Odyssey, like many MMORPG titles, is based on character class systems; players can choose from six different classes including Paladin, Assassin, Swordsman, Berserker, Sorcerer, and Ranger.
