While many SnowRunner fans are looking forward for the release of Expeditions: A MudRunner Game, many are confounded by the non-existence of co-op or multiplayer mode in the upcoming game. Many players had claimed that they won’t be buying the game if it doesn’t feature a multiplayer mode, claiming that playing the titles like SnowRunner and MudRunner are much better when played with friends.
The publisher, Focus Entertainment has addressed this concern and finally announced that Expeditions: A MudRunner Game will indeed feature a co-op multiplayer mode. However, the game won’t feature a co-op mode at the time of release. It will instead be released in the form of a free update a few months after the game releases on March 5, 2024. The announcement came as a direct response by community manager on the publisher’s forum, as a result of many fans of the MudRunner series asking for a multiplayer mode.
The publisher has acknowledged that multiplayer, as the fans claim, is an integral part of the MudRunner experience and has claimed that the development team ‘wants the multiplayer experience in Expeditions to feel as polished as possible.’ Apart from this co-op multiplayer mode, the publisher has also stated that players can expect several exciting post-launch updates for Expeditions: A MudRunner Game.
