Frontier Development released an announcement trailer today for F1 Manager 2024. While the video itself didn’t give away any major details, it offered a glimpse at the new cars and liveries.
The official website for the game dropped a few hints about what’s coming in the new season. Racers can expect new cars as well as new team principals in F1 Manager 2024. The Sprint format is also receiving an update, but the developer hasn’t revealed the exact changes yet.
The ability to create a custom team from scratch is the biggest addition to the game this year. Players could either choose to race with one of the official 10 teams or create their own team and compete with the rest. To speculate, such a feature would ideally come with numerous customization options for team colors and liveries.
F1 Manager 2024 will also bring mechanical failures to the table, which should make for a more challenging gameplay. The AI is expected to get an intelligence boost, which should add to the complexity. There’s also a new mentality system that will require players to further manage the moral of drivers and team staff.
The F1 Manager franchise launched in 2022, with the upcoming installment being the third game in the series. While there’s no release date for F1 Manager 2024, the trailer mentioned a Summer 2024 release window.
F1 Manager 2023 came out in July, closely following the June release of F1 23. If EA follows a similar schedule this year, F1 Manager 2024 could be released in June or July shortly after the May 31 release of F1 24.
