Lies of P no longer has Denuvo on PC, as spotted on the game’s Steam page. The same is also reflected on SteamDB where it says, ‘Removed 3rd-Party DRM – Denuvo Anti-tamper’.
Lies of P, which received its 1.5.0.0 update on February 14, saw the Denuvo DRM stripped from the game. However, there remained a doubt whether the removal was accidental and it would be added back later. Following the official Steam page update and the corresponding SteamDB notification, the removal seems to be permanent.
Neowiz’s Lies of P launched on September 18 last year on PC and consoles. The game notably didn’t have performance woes, which are most often associated with many games that feature Denuvo on PC. Neowiz’s decision might have been to cut the Denuvo monthly charges. However, we haven’t received any official statement regarding this.
