After announcing a ‘big’ update and delaying it a couple of days before it was supposed to release, Bethesda Softworks has finally released the anticipated Starfield update in Steam Beta. This new update brings massive changes and adjustments, most of which focus primarily on quality-of-life improvements for the expansive spacefaring RPG.
The Bethesda Softworks has announced that the long-anticipated update that features more than hundred fixes and adjustments has finally landed on Steam Beta on January 18, 2024. Initially, Bethesda had announced that this update will release on January 17, 2024. However, on January 16, the developer informed the players via Twitter that they have encountered some unexpected errors and will be releasing the update in a few days. Surprising, the big new Starfield update has released, although for Steam Beta, merely a day later than original release date.
The newest Starfield update 1.9.47.0, features various fixes and improvements. These include fixing invisible animals and creatures on certain planets, fixing the issue that prevented Windows users to save their username, improved the appearance of various Kiosk materials during nighttime, and enhanced widescreen support. The Starfield update also fixes various problems surrounding various quests and random encounters, such as fixing issues in quests like Absolute Power, Derelict Ship, and Echoes of the Past.
The new Starfield update on Steam beta also fixes various graphics issues, including improvements in lighting, enhanced texture and geometry, Depth of Field fixes, shadow popping error fixes, enhanced reflections on water, and improved eyes and skin for crowd characters.
