PS5 Pro is the upcoming mid-cycle refresh to the original PS5 which released back in 2020. The Pro model is supposed to be significantly more powerful than the last two PS5 variants.

PS5 Pro will reportedly feature an upscaling technology similar to Nvidia’s DLSS. This will let this mid-cycle refresh console deliver high framerates in higher resolutions like 4K.

Sony has recently filed a patent on a technology that can dynamically adapt game difficulty to suit individual players. Although, this feature may not be exclusive to the PS5 Pro.

The PS5 Pro is supposed to sport a significantly more powerful AMD APU, which will combine the powers of the latest AMD Zen 4 CPUs and RDNA 3 GPUs.

According to industry leaks, the PS5 Pro will feature a detachable Blu-ray player, very similar to the one that was released with PS5 Slim.
