The first structure you need to build to get your settlement off the ground in Manor Lords is a Burgage Plot. These are essentially the homes your families are going to be living in, so it’s crucial you start building them right away so citizens have a place to sleep. However, if you want to increase the level of your settlement in Manor Lords, you need to upgrade those Burgage Plots to the next level.
Upgrading Burgage Plots in Manor Lords
You can see everything you need to upgrade a Burgage Plot by clicking on the house itself. Once you do that, you’ll see various items listed under “Requirements” along with a diamond next to each item. If the diamond is marked yellow, you’ve met that requirement. If it’s marked gray, then you still need to complete that requirement to upgrade the plot.
Here are the requirements to upgrade your Burgage Plots to level two in Manor Lords:
- Water Access: Access to a Well
- Church Level: At least a wooden Church
- Fuel Stall Supply: One source of Fuel at a marketplace
- Food Stall Supply: Two types of food at a marketplace
- Clothing Stall Supply: One source of clothing at a marketplace
You can build all of those structures in the early going of Manor Lords. However, you also need to remember that Burgage Plots need to be in close proximity to everything they need. This means being near a marketplace, water supply, and a church to upgrade the plot to level two. Each level also requires a certain resource; for level two, you need four Timber. Another aspect to remember is the Burgage Plots need to be large enough to expand. If you construct a Burgage Plot in a tiny space, it won’t have any room to upgrade. Once your Burgage Plot is ready to be upgraded, click on the house and look at the top of the box that appears. The house icon should be white and if you click on it, you’ll successfully upgrade the plot.
Burgage Plots have three possible levels they can reach, so you have some more upgrades to make if you want a maxed out plot. Level two Burgage Plots generate 1 Regional Wealth per family, per month, so it’s certainly a worthwhile endeavor to upgrade as many Burgage Plots as possible in Manor Lords.
