Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has many choice-based side gigs you can do around Night City’s newly added Dogtown area. One such gig involves a Zetatech Engineer named Hasan Demir, who seems to be hiding a precious prototype wanted by the Zetatech troops. Using this Phantom Liberty Hasan choice guide, you can either let Hasan go free or hand him over to the troops to be killed.
While this side gig does not affect the game’s main storyline, it does have an impact on the rewards and poses quite a moral dilemma. If you’re struggling to determine the right choice, here are all the details to help you make the decision.
Prototype in the Scraper Mission in Phantom Liberty
The Prototype in the Scraper gig starts when you are contacted by Mr. Hands who sends you on a mission to acquire a prototype belonging to Zetatech from the Scraper construction site’s scav den.
Once you reach the scavenger den, you can use the prototype’s GPS to determine its location and just follow the signal. This will take you to Hasan Demir who is currently being imprisoned inside a locked holding cell. You learn that Hasan has implanted the prototype into his eye and the item can only be extracted at the risk of losing his life.
Find the cell’s password (2753) by hacking the computer nearby and rescue Hasan. Then reach the drawbridge and have another chat with Hasan revealing his intentions of never returning to Zetatech, dead or alive.
Now before you can escape the den using the drawbridge, you must determine Hasan’s faith by either handing him over to Mr. Hands or extracting the prototype and sparing his life.
All Phantom Liberty Hasan Choices
- Choice 1: Call Mr. Hands and hand over Hasan – “Prototype’s my responsibility now.”
- Choice 2: Let Hasan go – “Fine. Watch yourself out there.”
Choice 1
If you choose to call the Fixer a.k.a Mr. Hands and tell him about Hasan, he will ask for your current location and send some Zetatech Corps to capture Hasan once you send the location.
However, this choice also presents you with another set of choices where you can send Mr. Hands the location and let Hasan get captured, or you can strike up a deal with the Fixer and ask him to extract the implant and then let Hasan go free.
Choice 2
If you decide to let Hasan go, he will be very thankful and hand you the prototype’s schematics which you can deliver to Mr. Hands at the marked drop-off location. You will also get contacted by Hasan several days after the incident and get a pistol as a reward.
There is another choice during the Fixer’s phone call part where you can let Hasan go by selecting the “We never met, understood?” option in the gig. This will prompt you to drop off the schematics at the drop-off zone and Mr. Hands will be completely unaware of Hasan.
What is the best Phantom Liberty Hasan Choice?
Although at the end of both choices, you get the same amount of XP and Eurodollars in the game, the best choice in this case would definitely be to let Hasan go.
From a moral point of view, it makes sense to not let the Zetatech get their hands on Hasan Demir, and from a rewarding point of view, you can only get the Iconic Ambition Tech Pistol if Hasan is set free.
Phantom Liberty Hasan Choice Mission Rewards
Both the Phantom Liberty Hasan choices give you 3297 XP and 8000 Eurodollars. But if you let Hasan go, he will later come in contact with you once again and start the “Go Your Own Way” gig and hand over his Iconic Ambition Tech Pistol with modified armor-penetrating bullets.
