A gameplay mechanic borrowed straight from the Doom series, Finishers in Destiny 2 are used to quickly and stylishly finish off an enemy who is at low health. All of these Finishers aren’t the same when it comes to the time it takes to execute them, but most last for up to 2 seconds maximum.
So, the best Destiny 2 Finishers are the ones that are the most stylish while also preferably being slightly faster than most. In this guide, we will explain how you can use these Finishers to look as badass as possible while also showcasing some of the best ones currently in the game.

How To Use A Finisher In Destiny 2
To use a Finisher in Destiny 2, press the right thumbstick (R3) if you are on a console, and on PC the default is ‘Q’. However for PC, if you have already bound that to something else, it will default to any of the other available buttons so you will have to check that in your key bindings.
When Can You Use Destiny 2 Finishers?
When you deal enough damage to an enemy and they are low on health, they will have a yellow glowing icon above their heads. Whenever you see this icon above their heads, that means they are vulnerable to a Finisher. When you are near enough to them, you can trigger it with your Finisher button and defeat the enemy quickly.
Can You Change The Finishers In Destiny 2?
Yes, each Destiny 2 class gets its own unique default Finisher animation. On top of that, you can also buy or get rewarded with new Finisher animations from the store or the Season Pass.
These animations only vary in a few 10ths of a second but they can make a difference in some situations. So, the faster ones are usually preferred by players.
Once you have a new Finisher, you can equip it from your inventory screen like you do with any other item.
Where Can You Obtain New Destiny 2 Finishers?
All Season Passes contain at least one exclusive Finisher. Apart from that, you can also buy them with Silver from the Eververse. These options rotate around on a weekly basis while the seasonal ones will stay for the whole season. You can also get new Finishers from Bright Engrams as a random reward drop.
Best Destiny 2 Finishers
Ever since Finishers were first introduced back in the Shadowkeep Expansion, there have been several new additions added to the pool of Finishers. Some can only be equipped by specific classes, while some can be equipped by any class.
So, we will showcase the best one for each class and then some general ones that can be used with any class. The Finishers showcased below are some of the most stylish and badass ones in our opinion. There will also be a timer showcasing how much time it takes to execute the Finisher in case you are looking for the fastest ones.
Sure Shot (Hunter Finisher)
The Sure Shot is definitely a fan favorite for the Hunter class. This Finisher will make you quickly pull out your revolver with a spin and shoot your enemy with it. Not only is it very fast but it’s also one of the most stylish Destiny 2 Finishers as it makes you look like a Wild West gunslinger. It surely cant get any more badass than that!
Nova Pulse (Warlock Finisher)
If you are a Dragon Ball Z fan, you might know about the move, Spirit Bomb. Well, the Nova Pulse Finisher will surely remind you of it. So, if you ever wanted to feel like a Super Saiyan in Destiny 2, this is the Finisher for you.
Bulwark Hurl (Titan Finisher)
This one is for the Marvel fans. If you ever wanted to feel like Captain America hurling his shield at enemies knocking them out, the Bulwark Hurl does exactly that. Fitting for the heavy tank brute that the Titan class is supposed to be.
Flashkick
If you are into soccer, one of the most impressive moves you’ll see on the field is a bicycle kick. This finisher does exactly that but instead of kicking a ball, it lands a kick to the jaw of your enemies. I mean, what can be cooler than finishing off an enemy with a backflip kick to their face?
Savage Haymaker
Punching the absolute life out of an enemy One Punch Man style is probably the most satisfying Destiny 2 Finisher out there. The Savage Haymaker will make your character gather all of his might before bursting into a powerful punch straight to the face.
