On paper, the deluxe edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League sounded like a pretty jam-packed version. With loads of extra bonuses and cosmetics packs, some might find this edition extremely appealing. However, is it really worth the extra bucks?
Should You Get Deluxe Edition For Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League?
Unless you want the Battle Pass token and exclusive cosmetics, I think the deluxe edition for Kill The Justice League is not worth the extra bucks.
The standard edition of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is priced at $69.99, while the deluxe edition will cost you $99.99. Apart from the base copy of the game, which is included in every edition, the deluxe edition gives you:
- Justice League Outfits
- Black Mask Weapons
- Weapon Dolls
- x1 Battle Pass Token
- 72 Hour Early Access
- No Shade Color Swatches (only for Digital Deluxe Edition)
- Classic Outfits (Only on pre-orders)
- Rogue Outfits (Only for PS5 Digital version pre-orders)
Except the early access and Battle pass token, all the other benefits are merely cosmetic in nature, barring the 3 notorious Black Mask Weapons. So, if you are willing to shell out extra $30 to play the game earlier than others, I say go for it. Remember that you will always be able to buy Battle Pass tokens and additional weapons even if you purchase a standard edition.
BUT note that the game launched in early access just yesterday and the developer had to pull it offline on day-one owing to certain bugs. I’m not saying that you shouldn’t feel excited to play the game early. But as things stand right now, it doesn’t seem like Rocksteady has worked out all the kinks.
Imagine spending more money just to play the game before your friends and then finding out you can’t play it. If the only thing that attracts you towards the deluxe edition is a chance to play it right this moment, I’d recommend waiting for a couple of days for the scheduled release on February 2, 2024.
