Starfield features multiple major and minor factions in the game. However, to join any of the factions, you must complete a specific quest for them. Starfield Eye of the Storm is one of the faction missions you need to complete to join the United Colonies faction.
If you’re wondering how to get this quest or how to join the United Colonies faction, this guide has got you covered. We’ll take you through the Eye of the Storm Mission and help you join the United Colonies faction by completing it.
How to complete the Starfield Eye of the Storm mission
Delgado in Starfield (Image via Bethesda Softworks)This major faction quest takes place on Suvorov Planet, located in the Kryx system. To start this quest, you need to head to the Key, where you will find an NPC named Delgado, leader of the Crimson Fleet.
When you talk to him, he’ll ask you to go to Bannoc IV and bring Kryx’s Legacy back to the Key. While talking to Delgado, Jazz will advise you to prep your ship by installing the ComSpike Module and Conduction Grid Module. The objectives you need to achieve to complete the quest include:
- Prep your ship by installing the Modules: Once you’re done talking to Delgado, interact with Jazz and ask her to help you with your ship. After selecting the “I’d like to view and modify my ships” dialogue, it’ll allow you to choose the ship that you want to modify for the mission. Now, add the ComSpike Module and the Conduction Grid Module from the Ship Builder Mode and confirm. You may also want to look at our custom Starfield ship building guide.
- Proceed to the UC Vigilance to talk to the Commander: Before boarding your ship, head towards the UC Vigilance. You need to find Commander Kibwe Ikande and inform him about the Crimson Fleet’s progress and their following plans.
- Head to Bannoc IV: Next, board your modified ship and head to the Bannoc IV. Also, remember to avoid the large floating rocks you’ll face on the way until you find the Legacy.
- Navigate the Vault: Once you reach the Legacy, follow the objective marker to get close to the Transfer Module Lock. It would help if you found the GalBank Transfer Module from a nearby Osterholt’s corpse to unlock this. Now, proceed further into the Legacy until you spot a large orange door.
- Retrieve Kryx’s Legacy: After you reach the Vault room by following the objective marker and defeating every robot or turret along the way, you’ll find the corpse of Jasper Kryx alongside a lot of loot. Pick up the Revenant legendary rifle, Cred Sticks, Transfer Module, and Jasper Kryx’s audio recordings. Grab everything you can see in front of you.
- Reroute Ship’s Power: Among all the loot, you’ll find Kryx’s final recording, GBLR011: The Waiting Game. Listening to this recording will give you a task to reroute the ship’s power, which you can do just by triggering both yellow power switches in this area. Now, follow the next instructions and pick up the Data Core after downloading Legacy’s Credit Reserves.
- Escape: The moment you take the Data Core, the Legacy will be hit with an EMP surge and start to explode. Keep your eyes on the scanner for the route back to your ship. Although you’ll face some robots on your way back to the ship, try to avoid them as you need to reach the ship as soon as possible.
- The final decision: Once you board the ship safely, you’ll be given two choices. These options are the Crimson Fleet or the United Colonies. Depending on your choice, the ship will jump to that destination to proceed further in the quest.
