According to Mark Gruman, a Bloomberg correspondent for Apple, popular video game director Hideo Kojima has been spotted in Apple Park during the last week. Gruman predicts that Hideo will be a part of Apple’s upcoming World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) and could be working for the creation of a port for Apple silicon or Mac.
Gruman also predicts that this could mean Hideo Kojima might be working on a new title for Apple VR headset. The news has gathered a lot of excitement amongst fans of the director’s work, speculating the possibility of Death Stranding for VR, or even better, a brand-new title.

Some fans are also predicting that Hideo Kojima could be working with Apple TV to produce a movie. This could be possible, as the game director has previously vocalized his desire to produce/direct a movie. Judging by his magnum opus, Death Stranding, a game that featured a rich narrative, exceptional performances, and outstanding cinematics, this seems highly probable. While some fans are predicting a movie adaptation of Death Stranding, others are hoping for a series based on his other renowned title, Metal Gear Solid.

According to Mark Gruman, the presence of Hideo Kojima on Apple campus could also indicate the possibility of a No Man’s Sky release for Mac or VR, which was initially announced in 2022 but was delayed without any clarification. Gruman thinks that Apple and Hideo Kojima might be working on the title together to slate it for a VR release. Fans have seconded this notion, stating that it would explain the radio silence by developers.
