If Marvel Rivals adds these five characters, I would explode with joy

Marvel Rivals is already a fantasy made real for so many fans. Quick-paced, skill-heavy 6v6 battles with some of the most recognisable heroes from the Marvel universe? Literally, we couldn’t wish for more. But as amazing as the existing roster is, there’s always space to bring the roof down with fresh additions because well, it’s the Marvel Universe, and we can exhaust the hours playing it, but not its endless character roster.

So, here’s my ultimate list of five characters. These are those that would disrupt the meta, appear ridiculously awesome in action. Believe me, each of them would introduce some sheer chaos (the good sort) to Marvel Rivals.

Nightcrawler – Let the BAMF Begin

Can you envision the mayhem Nightcrawler would bring to a bout? Kurt Wagner, the blue devil with a heart of gold (and a teleporting wherever-his-heart-desires him).

Nightcrawler would make Marvel Rivals a battlefield of utter pandemonium for the opposing team. Here are the powers he should have:

  • Acrobatic Fencer – Zoom in, slash with elegance, poof. The ultimate “Where’d he go?!” game.
  • BAMF! Teleport – Instant reposition. Dodge an ult, close the gap, or just waste someone’s cooldowns.
  • Wall-Crawl – Verticality like no one else. This dude lives on walls.
  • Shadow Play – Go invisible in dark zones? YES, please.
  • White House Blitz (Ultimate) – If you’ve seen that classic scene, you know. Blazing-fast teleports between enemies, creating chaos from all sides.

Nightcrawler would be rewarded with clever flanking and style-play. He isn’t merely flashy. He’d revolutionize the way everybody considers positioning. One second he’s gone, and the next second your healer’s gone and most likely free falling somewhere off the map.

Iceman – Coolest Utility Pick Ever?

If Bobby Drake ever appears, I won’t even hesitate full cryo-main. Iceman isn’t only about freezing folks. Iceman can actually remake the battlefield as much as environment is already breakable in the game.

This guy can certainly be the top choice for control freaks. Here are the powers I think he should have:

  • Freezing Shards / Beam – Burst damage or pressure, choose your style.
  • Ice Wall – Instant hard stop or high ground. A zoning fantasy.
  • Ice Slide – Envision Lucio-meets-Frozone. Slide between maps like a frost ninja.
  • Frost Nova – Slow/freeze AoE to put an end to brawls.
  • Omega Blizzard or Ice Clones (Ultimate) – Either a horrible localized storm or decoys that put foes in full-on paranoia.

Iceman is naked tactical flexibility. Block a choke, control a point, or just troll opponents with surprise walls and slippery escapes. He’s the “wait, how do we deal with that guy?” choice.

Ghost Rider – Ride or Die

The moment the Ghost Rider motorcycle screams by the screen; I can already imagine everyone stepping back. Johnny Blaze, with his fire chains and demon abilities, would not only be a character.

He can have the presence that few of the DPS pool now can match. Here are the powers he should have:

  • Hellfire Chain / Shotgun – Mid-ranged brawler feels but with a flaming twist.
  • Hellfire Projection – Burn the frontlines. As in, literally.
  • Infernal Ride – YES. Bike zoomies, wall-riding, even cross-map flanks.
  • Demonic Regeneration – Tanky with a dash of unkillable.
  • Penance Stare (Ultimate) – Stare down an enemy and have them regret it all. Big damage + stun? Ideal for turn fights.

Ghost Rider would add intense aggression and zone presence. He will be a terrifying frontline harasser. Ignore him and you’re toasted. If you focus on him too much and he just comes back. This would be a lose-lose for your foes.

Ant-Man – Little Terror, Big Problem

Scott Lang is not only a comic relief. He can be a walking tactical headache. He would shrink down and infiltrate behind defenses, then become full Giant-Man and stomp out the enemy team.

I don’t know if Marvel Rivals could ever be the same, but I’d love it. Here are my ideas of bullet points he should use:

  • Pym Particle Punches – Small jabs or giant haymakers, depending on size.
  • Shrink/Enlarge Toggle – Be the smallest or the largest guy on the field—at will.
  • Ant-thony Ride or Swarm Blast – Call down flying ants or wreak havoc with dazzling insect swarms.
  • Giant Stomp / Bullet Punch – Area denial or zip dash burst—depending on your form.
  • Giant-Man (Ultimate) – Become a building. You are the goal now.

The changing scale would ruin everyone’s schedule. Ant-Man might scout, disrupt, or zone control based on the second. He would be one of the game’s most random and entertaining playstyles.

Vision – The 4D Chess Pick

If you’ve been gaming since the Overwatch days, hero shooters are likely too basic for you. In this case, Vision is your man of choice.

He phases, he glides, he shoots, and he computes. A hero who approves of high-brain plays with catastrophic consequences. Here are the moves he should have:

  • Mind Stone Beam – Plain and simple energy annihilation.
  • Density Shift – Phase through attacks or become dense and punch like a truck. Flaunt that synthezoid vibe.
  • Flight – Hover and attack from odd angles.
  • Holographic Decoy – Emit a decoy Vision to lure ults or confuse foes.
  • System Overload / Solar Burst (Ultimate) – Disable abilities in an area or rain down pure damage.

Vision is the type of pick that makes people say, “We need to play smarter.” Perfect for utility mains who want to outthink everyone on the map.

These five characters wouldn’t just add variety, they’d transform Marvel Rivals. You’d have new movement styles, map control, burst windows, and psychological warfare. They’d redefine how teams approach fights.

These days, if he’s not dissecting every meta shift in The Finals, he’s probably replaying Nier: Automata just to argue about the ending again. He writes at GamesHorizon to justify the obsession - and maybe help someone else finally beat that one boss.
