According to new sources, Konami is planning on remaking one of its best selling titles, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Rumors have it that the title will be exclusive to PlayStation, and it will be announced in the next PlayStation Showcase.
Metal Gear Solid is one of the most celebrated, genre-defining games developed by Konami. The fans of this classic 2004 title have been asking for a remake for years now, with rumors about it coming to a different platform surfacing every once in a while. However, with Sony and Konami confirming collaboration on Silent Hill 2, fans are getting hopeful every day.
While the official announcement for Silent Hill 2, a PS5 exclusive has been made, neither Sony nor Konami have addressed the rumors regarding Metal Gear Solid 3. While the Silent Hill 2 is supposed to have a launch as a PS5 exclusive, then move on to PC release next year, Metal Gear Solid 3 has been rumored to only feature on PS5.
(Rumor) According to Shpeshal Nick, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake might be at an upcoming Playstation showcase and will have some sort of exclusivity attached to it. 🧂
His source said he thinks, and is not 100% sure.

I also heard a Sony Showcase is happening in the usual late May / early June window, with Konami stuff included. I’m not expecting Nintendo to do anything

It was expected that Konami will announce the new Castlevania game, as well as Metal Gear Solid 3 remake at E3 2023. However, after it being canceled, players are expecting the announcement from the companies at a PlayStation event in early June or late May. Insiders have supposedly heard rumors about a joint Sony and Konami event during this timeframe.
Sony is rumored to have struck an exclusivity deal with Konami, the popular developer of classics such as Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid 3, Silent Hill 1 & 2, Contra, and PES series. While there is only one definite title making its way back exclusively for PS5, i.e., Silent Hill 2, there have been some rumors about a new Castlevania game that Konami is supposed to develop exclusively for PlayStation.
