According to credible Insider Gaming sources, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake won’t just be coming to PS5 but for all the major current-gen consoles. Although it hasn’t been officially confirmed, this news comes as a relief for PC and Xbox owners after recent rumors had suggested the game would be PlayStation-exclusive.
MGS fans are overjoyed with this new information, as there are very few Metal Gear Solid games playable on the PC. With strong chances of the remake being revealed at the upcoming PlayStation Showcase on May 24, the new leak has almost confirmed that the game will be coming to Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Some expect the game to make day one appearance on PC and Xbox, while others think that Sony might struggle to get at least a one-year exclusivity deal. This is easily possible, as rumors of a deal between Metal Gear Solid series developer Konami and Sony have been surfacing for the better part of the year. According to Insider Gaming, Metal Gear Solid 3 will be coming to PS5, just not as an exclusive. However, there is still no credible information about the new Castlevania game, which was also rumored to be a part of Sony’s deal with Konami.
While most fans are excited by the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, there are still some who are skeptical about its existence, as Kojima (the original developer of this hit game) is not involved in the development of the remake. Whether or not it’s an PS5 exclusive, there are strong chances that Sony will reveal some new information, possibly an announcement trailer, at the upcoming PS showcase.
