Knowing how to make copper bars in Lego Fortnite is important to building many things. Things like bigger chests and sturdier workbenches need copper bars, but they aren’t out in abundance. Below, we’ll let you know how to make copper bars and where to find the ingredients.
Lego Fortnite – How To Make Copper Bars
You need to go to your metal smelter and put a copper and two bright cores to make a copper bar in Lego Fortnite. Getting a metal smelter and copper are their own issue, but we’ve got separate headings to help you with each. If you run out of bright core, just go into lava caves and look for the golden rocks.
What Are The Ingredients For Copper Bars?
For each Copper Bar, you’ll need:
- One Copper: This fiery orange ore is found in the depths of the Dry Valley biome’s lava caves.
- Two Brightcore: These golden nuggets also nestle within lava caves, often alongside copper.

How Do I Make A Metal Smelter For Copper Bars?
You can make a Metal Smelter in Lego Fortnite as soon as you hit Village Level 9. Before then, you won’t be able to make any Copper bars. When you’ve reached that village level and have the ingredients, you can make a Metal Smelter. The ingredients are:
- 15 Brightcores
- 35 Obsidian Slabs
- Three Blast Cores
Once you’ve got it, you can start making copper bars.
Where To Get Copper For Bars In Lego Fortnite
You can find copper in lava caves in the world. You need to make sure you have a rare pickaxe – you can make this with Flexwood Rods and Sandclaws – to smash the ore you need. You’ll get copper nuggets, which are used for the bars.
While you’re in the cave, make sure to keep an eye out for bright core. You’ll need to double the bright core for each copper bar you possess. We’d recommend preparing for the desertscape by stocking up on Snowberries or craft Snowberry Shakes for heat resistance. A Cool-Headed Charm can also provide a welcome buffer.

Tips For Finding Copper In Lego Fortnite
While copper is scattered throughout lava caves, some areas usually have far more copper nuggets to be found. We recommend checking:
- Lava Pools: Pools of molten rock often have clusters of Copper Ore nearby.
- Cave Depths: The deeper you go, the more copper and usually bigger deposits you find.
- Every tunnel: Some tunnels branch out; don’t be afraid to turn around and check other tunnels if needed.
