Palworld is currently in early access, and the developers are planning for a full version release in 2025. Recently, they have announced the Palworld roadmap for 2024, revealing various updates and features players can expect in the coming months.
Palworld Content Roadmap For 2024: PvP, Crossplay, And More
Palworld developers will be working on adding the following features to the game this year:
- PvP
- Raid Bosses (End-Game Content)
- Pal Arena (PvP for Pals)
- Steam-Xbox Crossplay
- Various Xbox Feature Improvements
- Server Transfers and Migrations
- Improvements to the Building System
- New Islands, Pals, Bosses, and Technologies
The developer is set to offer loads of new content, including additional dungeons and biomes to the game’s already sizeable map. 2024 will also see the addition of several new Pals, including (hopefully) Dragostrophe and Boltamane, which were featured in the game’s trailers but cannot be seen anywhere on the map.

Pocket Pair is also working on offering Crossplay between Steam and Xbox, thereby allowing players to enhance their multiplayer experience by affording a larger pool of co-op players. The new PvP mode, along with the PvP arena will enable players to pit against one another, instead of playing a purely co-op game.
Pocket Pair Will Focus on Addressing Critical Issues First
Pocket Pair’s main concern is enhancing the existing features and ridding the game of various bugs and errors. And there are a lot! It is understandable, considering even the developer did not expect such a massive player pool. Once the team is done fixing the existing issues that plague the game, it will move on to add additional content.
According to the developer, at times, the world date may experience rollbacks in the coming days. Furthermore, the loading screen issue may persist when trying to load into Worlds. The developer will be focusing on key configuration improvements as soon as possible, along with improving the base Pal AI and pathing.
