Content Warning has been in everyone’s eyes lately due to the developers making the whole game free to play for a limited time. However, some players are encountering a “Failed to Extract” when extracting a full disc of video from their camera.
Temporary Fix For Failed To Extract Bug In Content Warning Game
For now, there are two fixes to the Failed to Extract Error in Content Warning:
- The first fix is to exit the game and make a new lobby.
- The second solution is to press F3 to debug and extract the video if one encounters this error in the game. This saves the footage locally to your computer in the game files.
The second “fix” comes from the Publisher, Landfall Games, themselves as they took to Twitter to give players a way to save the footage should they have recorded anything cool. Since there is no permanent fix as of yet, you may event want to prevent this bug in case you haven’t come across it yet.
Ways To Prevent The Failed To Extract Bug In Content Warning
- Have a dedicated cameraman: A single player should be the only cameraman and the designation should not be switched mid-game.
- Do not turn the camera on and off too much: Footage fragmentation can also cause the error
Note: Landfall Games are reportedly prioritizing a fix for this bug and other issues major players have been encountering in the game.
