Assassin’s Creed Mirage will feature full Arabic localization, including subtitles and dub, for a first time in the longstanding series which started its run with the original Assassin’s Creed title in 2007.
The first game introduced Altair, an Arabic protagonist, but it lacked an Arabic dub. But Ubisoft is going above and beyond with Assassins Creed Mirage and has won over the rapidly growing Middle Eastern gaming community with this announcement. It even got the English-speaking fans of the series rejoicing, owing to the developer’s nod at historical accuracy that’s been so much associated with the franchise.
The news was first announced by developer Malek Teffaha last year, but it went under the radar. However, with Ubisoft last night announcing Eyad Nassar as the Arabic dub of the protagonist Basim, it finally caught everyone’s eye.
We are happy and proud to announce that Eyad Nassar will star in the Arabic version of Assassin's Creed Mirage as the main character Basim. Here is a short message from him.

Nassar is a prolific actor who has appeared in numerous films and TV in the Middle East. In a recorded message to fans, he stated,
“Mirage takes place in Baghdad during its Golden Age, and players all over the world will have the opportunity to discover the richness and influence of the Abbasid age and of the Arabic culture of the time. It will be the first Assassin’s Creed game to ship globally with full Arabic localization, and it’s an honor for me to be part of this adventure.”
Assassin’s Creed Mirage got spotlight in the PlayStation Showcase a few days back. With the game’s release scheduled on October 12, fans of the series are cautiously optimistic that Mirage will finally return the series back to its roots.
