In a new posting for the upcoming Cities: Skylines 2, Xbox Store accidently included some in-game images. However, they seem to have noticed it shortly after and have taken them down, replacing the images with cinematic and promotional pictures. However, several people had already seen and archived them.
These in-game images from Cities: Skylines 2 offer a glimpse into the upcoming title, with its release still unannounced by the developer, Colossal Order. The images are very different from the in-game visuals of the first installment, which generated quite a buzz amongst the series fans.

While the first game received enormous success, many fans were put off by the visual style and cartoon-like quality of the game. The developers seemed to have taken this to heart, as the new images display a vibrant and cleaner, more realistic visual style that matches up to the ultra-realistic games released over the past couple of years.

The developers had made several changes in the first game through DLCs. The buildings and other city assets offered by the DLC expansion were crowd-favorite, and Colossal Order seems to have doubled down on them. The buildings, complicated multi-tiered flyovers, and the lighting in the new Cities: Skylines 2 ‘leaked’ images look much more realistic than the first game. The highways, sequentially generated backyards in suburbs, painstakingly detailed road lanes, and possible inclusion of a tram in the game have fans excited.

Amongst the leaked images, there is also a picture that showcases the user interface of the upcoming game. Unlike the first game, this new update in the UI looks cleaner, more fluid, and refined. In the UI image, fans can also see various additions in gameplay that are included in Cities: Skylines 2. There is addition of a new feature wherein players will be able to control and change the seasons.
