Episode 17 of Mashle season 2 introduced viewers to a new concept related to the Wands, known as the Master Canes. But are they really effective against Mash?
What Are Master Canes In Mashle?
As revealed in Mashle season 2 episode 17, there are a total of 13 ancient wands in the Mashle universe that are known as Master Canes. These canes are only wielded by select individuals who are born with innate talent and magic power. When an owner of a master cane dies, a new one is born. It means that the wielder of the Master Cane in Mashle is determined from birth.
Currently, the anime has revealed only one so far with Carpaccio Luo-Yang, the first-year prodigy student at Easton High. The Master Cane that Carpaccio has is known as ‘The Healing Cane’. As the name suggests, this cane contains healing power.
Carpaccio’s Master Cane provided him with immediate healing as he used this magic to inflict pain on others by hurting himself. This was indeed a great addition to the innate talent that Carpaccio had.
While Carpaccio was strong and a prodigy, Mash has found The Healing Cane’s limit as we saw in episode 17. So, no matter how strong an ancient wand is, there is a limit to how much magical power it has.
Besides Carpaccio’s Master Cane, the other 12 wands are expected to make an appearance soon as the anime follows the original manga source.
