Deck13’s third-person action RPG Atlas Fallen is set to launch on August 10, 2023. This comes after a delay from its earlier release in May 2023.
From what was shown in various trailers prior, Atlas Fallen offers a ton of eye-catching content like magical gauntlets, an evil god, god-like monstrous creatures, power-increasing stones to collect, and fast-paced fighting styles. All of this combined in a post-apocalyptic world built on sand makes it an experience worth checking out.
Atlas Fallen platforms
Atlas Fallen is coming out on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
On the other hand, Atlas Fallen will not be available on PS4 and Xbox One. As per the developers at Deck13, they wanted to deliver a much higher standard for the gameplay overall and that necessitated the latest hardware.

You can start from as basic as the general looks of their character to what kind of weapons they wield, what costumes they wear, and more. Three weapons of choice consist of the Dunecleaver, the Sandwhip, and the Knuckledust, each of them consisting of unique magical abilities that will allow you to take on different types of dangers.
As intimated by the devs, you will still be able to complete it all in around 25-30 hours.
Is Atlas Fallen an open-world game?
Deck13 has mentioned that Atlas Fallen is not an open-world game, although each individual area seems to be built with plentiful details.
Atlas Fallen combat and mechanics
Other than the story and character customizations, there are also Essence Stones scattered all across the game world that you’d have to look out for. These will aid you in enhancing your magical weapons and other capabilities. Moreover, the gameplay mechanics also revolve a lot around exploration. You’ll be able to smoothly travel around the world of Atlas Fallen with the use of abilities like flying, double jump, and sand gliding.
The game majorly focuses on agility and speed which will also matter on how you customize or equip your character with several abilities. Meanwhile, your choices and their consequences are also supposed to carry out some flavor. However, the overall important parts won’t be affected much.
Atlas Fallen co-op details
The co-op feature in Atlas Fallen lets you and your friend tag along in the game and immerse in the campaign together. Moreover, there is difficulty scaling. So, co-op won’t necessarily make the game a cakewalk.
