Forza Motorsport is the sim racing counterpart to the more popular arcade racing Forza Horizon series. With sim racing comes the need for optimized wheel settings, since these games are best played with a sim racing wheel.
More often than not, the default settings for the sim wheel can feel a bit off and unresponsive. This is to be expected as there are tons of different settings that can affect your sim wheel handling like Force Feedback Scale, Road Feel Scale, Load Sensitivity, etc.
So in this guide below, we will be showing you the best base Forza Motorsport wheel settings you can apply and then further tweak according to your own sim wheel and how it handles.
Best Forza Motorsport Wheel Settings

Based on your sim wheel model, the best wheel settings for you can be different from someone with a different wheel. The settings we will provide below will be based on what works for the most common sim wheels like the Logitech G29, Thrustmaster T248, etc. but you can tweak them around if it feels lacking in some departments for your specific wheel.
Something that you need to make sure of before you play with these settings is that you need to put your Steering to Simulation setting in the Drivings Assists menu. Some other settings in this category that are recommended are keeping the Traction Control to Sport and keeping the Stability Control Off.
Here are the best Forza Motorsport wheel settings:
Setting | Value |
Vibration Scale | 100 |
Force Feedback Scale | 60 to 80 based on the car |
Steering self Alignment | 100 |
Mechanical Trail Scale | 150 |
Pneumatic Trail Scale | 100 |
Road Feel Scale | 110 |
Load Sensitivity | 50 |
Wheel Dampening Scale | 20 |
Center Spring Scale | 0 |
Dynamic Damper Behavior | 10 |
Steering Sensitivity | 50 |
Steering Linearity | 50 |
For the Force Feedback Scale, change this based on the car you are driving. Generally, a heavier car will give you a harder force feedback in which case you can reduce it and then increase it when the car is lighter and nimble. The Vibration Scale is also something that can be reduced if you have a very powerful sim wheel. The vibration can get a little too much with those wheels.
These settings will give you a more responsible and controllable feel to your wheel and you can further change the settings and experiment with it based on your own style and wheel. That is it for the best Forza Motorsport wheel settings. For more guides and articles like this, check out our Forza Motorsport section.
