Redfall is not the type of game that is intended to be finished, then forgotten. The first-person shooter enthusiast can play and revisit stages in Arcane’s take on the live-service genre. There are several reasons to make it happen.
How many hours of gameplay does Redfall contain?
- Main missions only: 12 hours
- All missions and side missions: 22 hours
- Completionists: 29.5 hours
Just be aware that some of the achievements can be challenging to obtain and may necessitate numerous plays through some of the levels. Choosing the appropriate character will speed up the completionist quest and enable the player to survive any vampire horrors.
Players who want to take full advantage of the new features shouldn’t feel pressured to succeed right away. Although there is disagreement in the community as to whether this is a live-service game or not, the aesthetic definitely fits. The game will require several play sessions to complete, so anyone who rushes through it is probably missing the point.
What the creators have to say
Harvey Smith, the creative director of Redfall, said in an interview with Wccftech that if you ‘race through’, the game’s campaign will take you about 20 hours, but that there is enough of side content to give gamers additional value for their money.
According to Smith,
For lots of people, it’s going to take more than that, especially if you do Safe Houses, Nests, exploring the whole world.
Redfall Commons, the first of two sizable open regions that players will be able to explore, is where much of the gameplay featured so far is from, according to Smith, giving gamers another idea of just how enormous Redfall is. He added,
It’s a pretty big space, but there’s actually two districts in the game. When you finish the first district, you transition to the second, Burial Point, which is another huge space.
It’s safe to say that there’s a lot to Redfall, depending on how far into the game players are willing to dive.
