With the recent Fallout 4 next-gen update, the game has received new missions to rejuvenate its player base. One noteworthy new mission is the Echoes of the Past, where players are sent to investigate the whereabouts of a missing caravan. This wild goose chase ultimately results in encountering an enemy from the past, the Enclave.
Here’s how you can deal with the Enclave and complete Echoes of the Past successfully in Fallout 4.
Conmpleting Echoes of the Past in Fallout 4
To complete the Echoes of the Past quest in Fallout 4 you need to follow these steps:
- This quest starts automatically if you have a higher-level character in Fallout 4, otherwise, you need to level up your character to reach that threshold.
- Next, you need to investigate the Missing Caravan location just north of the Saugus Ironworks and then interact with the giant blood splatter in that location.
- After that just follow the blood marks, and kill any enemy you come across during this investigation.
- Then, find the computer terminal marked on your map and download the Homing Beacon Frequency.
- Once you have tracked the frequency, go to your radio, select the Homing Beacon, and then start the optional “Edge of the Glowing Sea” quest to get the Homing Signal Strength indicator.
- Follow the Homing Signal Strength indicator to the Enclave Atlantic Offices and clear it out.
- Take down the Enclave Colonel and loot its body for the Terminal Password.
- Interact with the terminal opposite of the Colonel’s body and select the End Lockdown option.
- Leave the Atlantic Offices and survive the barrage of enemies trying to kill you. You also need to destroy the giant Vertibird machine flying and shooting toward your direction to complete the mission.
- The quest is finally complete once every incoming enemy is taken care of and you survive the manhunt.
Completing this mission gives you 399 XP and tons of lootable power armor on enemies scattered throughout the area. Just remember, you will encounter a Legendary Charred Feral Ghoul and a Legendary Enclave Hellfire Trooper who are pretty powerful threats with overpowered suits.
You need to focus on these particular enemies to stand a chance at winning this fight. The best thing about taking down these Enclave members is that you get to loot everything off of their dead bodies which could result in getting a few good power armor parts and special Enclave pieces of equipment.
