The multiplayer servers provided in Palword are good, but they may not do the job for players wanting a controlled, custom room. If you want to play Palworld with friends and not have to worry about strangers going through your loot, you might need your own dedicated server.

How Do I Create A Private Server In Palworld?
Method 1: Through Steam Library
If you want your own dedicated multiplayer server in Palworld, follow these steps in Steam:
- Go to Steam -> Steam Library and search for Palworld Dedicated Server. If you can’t find it, make sure you have the Tools check-marked in the filters.
- Then, while launching Palworld, opt for “Play Palworld Dedicated Server” in the small pop-up menu. If a command prompt window opens up, that means the connection is successful.
- Then you just have to make a few adjustments to the server and share your IP with friends who want to join.
Keep in mind that your computer and internet need to be connected at all times to run the server if you plan to host it.

Method 2: Through SteamCMD Setup
- First, set up your SteamCMD properly if you plan to play Palworld through Windows.
- Next, download the dedicated server using this command in the command prompt: steamcmd +login anonymous +app_update 2394010 validate +quit
- Your next step is to go to the directory: cd .\steamapps\common\PalServer
- Finally, execute PalServer.exe file to launch your dedicated server in Palworld.
Method 3: Rent Server
You can always rent a dedicated server from a third-party hosting site and pay monthly to keep it running without having to keep your computer switched on at all times. But, renting a server could be a costly ordeal, so make sure you have the funds for it (or friends with deep pockets) before fully committing to the idea.
