After two whole years of just parkouring and attacking zombies with melee weapons, Dying Light 2 has finally decided to add guns to the game. In the recent Firearms Update version 1.15, the game has added Pistols, SMGs, Rifles, and Shotguns to defend yourself from the undead. But, getting these guns can be another ordeal altogether.
How Do I Get A Gun In Dying Light 2?
The fastest and easiest way to get a gun is to claim your free Harran Pistol that’s deposited in your stash in the game. This gun is a freebie for Dying Light’s version 1.15 update that players can get if they log in to the game before March 7.
Just head to any nearby safe zone and look at your stash to get the Pistol. However, if your interest lies in other guns you might have to complete some missions to get them since the bigger guns are scattered throughout the map.

Gun Locations In Dying Light 2
Guns like Rifles and SMGs can only be unlocked and bought from Jai, the NPC that gives you the Lost Armory quest in the game. Once you gain a bit of Reputation from doing these missions, and complete Survivor missions, you will be able to unlock newer and legendary guns from his store.
The Newfound Lost Lands and Military Supply Drops will usually have a fair share of loot for you to collect. If you’re lucky they might even have some of the newly added guns as well. You can also complete Bounties and check convoys to find more firearms and ammo in the game.
Just make sure not to attract a horde of zombies while undergoing these quests and you’ll get your hands on those rifles in no time.
