While the drop rate is categorized as ‘rare’ and the boss fight is quite challenging, it is worth the hustle.
Getting Frostbite Shackles in Last Epoch
You can farm for Frostbite Shackles from the Frost Lich Formosus boss in the Blood, Frost, and Death Timeline, in both Normal and Empowered modes. Here you will need to defeat the final boss of the Monolith Timeline and the gloves should drop in a few tries.
While you can still obtain these gloves elsewhere as drop, switching to Empowered Monoliths certainly increases your chances. Ramping up your Corruption is another way to boost the chances of getting Frostbite Shackles.
Since Formosus operates on Cold and Necrotic damage, you need to have resistance to these damage types especially. However, considering the gloves are equipable at level 74, you must have had your resistances capped long ago. However, Watch out for the Frost Spirit and Ice Whirlwinds in the boss fight, they might still kill you if you are not paying attention.
