With Naraka Bladepoint transitioning to free-to-play model, the devs have released Hero Coins, the latest in-game currency, replacing the previous currency known as Tae.
These Hero Coins play a crucial role in unlocking new heroes that are periodically introduced to the game. If you’re wondering how to acquire Hero Coins and utilize them effectively, here is everything you need to know about the new system.
Are Hero Coins replacing Tae in Naraka Bladepoint?
Yes, Hero Coins are indeed replacing Tae as the primary currency in Naraka Bladepoint. This change affects the mechanism of character unlocks and introduces a new system for obtaining and utilizing in-game currency.
Can you exchange Tae for Hero Coins?
Fortunately, you have the option to trade in your previously owned Tae for Hero Coins. You may exchange your existing Tae balance into the new currency and use it to unlock characters.
Hero Coins in free-to-play vs. purchased Naraka Bladepoint
One major change is that free-to-play players can only earn a restricted number of Hero Coins per week, with a weekly cap of about 35 coins. Of course, players can remove this cap by paying real money. Players that have purchased the game, on the other hand, have the privilege of earning an unlimited quantity of Hero Coins on a daily basis. If players have any leftover Tae in their account, they may easily trade them for Hero Coins.
To unlock a character, players will need 100 Hero Coins. These characters are usually introduced every three to four months, resulting in a game with a balanced progression structure.
To address concerns regarding the transition from Tae to Hero Coins, the Naraka Bladepoint community manager clarified that players who purchased the game before it became free-to-play have no limits on acquiring Hero Coins. They can use their accumulated Tae to obtain as many Hero Coins as they desire for acquiring heroes.
