Palworld players can use Schematics to upgrade gear in the game. Schematics are basically blueprints for different gears, craftable weapons, and upgradable items found scattered throughout the map. But, unless you know exactly where to look and how to use them, the whole task can be a time-consuming ordeal.
Where To Find Schematics In Palworld
Schematics can be found as loot inside chests and through raids. You can even get them from the Merchants. The best ways to find Schematics include:
- Normal Chests – Schematics can be found inside unlocked low-level chests scattered on the map.
- Copper Key Chests – Better schematics can be found inside chests that need to be unlocked using copper keys. You can get copper keys by participating in raids or defeating pals in the wild.
- Raids – Some raid drops also include schematics for gear and weapons.
- Dungeons – Clearing out dungeons can reward you with chests containing rare schematics.
- Merchants – The Wandering Merchants in each Town often sell rare schematics. Each schematic is priced at 500 gold coins in the shop.

How To Use Schematics In Palworld
To use a schematic in Palworld, simply hover over it in your inventory and look at what Workbench it is instructing you to make it at. If the schematic says, “Can be crafted at Primitive Workbench”, take the schematic to the workbench and look at the materials required to make the item.
After gathering all the materials, you can make or upgrade the item on that specific workbench once again. You also have to keep in mind that until and unless you have a certain item’s Technology tree unlocked, you won’t be able to use the schematic for upgrades.
Remember to not drop the schematic and keep it in your inventory when trying to construct the item in the inventory. Rare schematics will require rare resources as well as an advanced workbench, so make sure to upgrade your base accordingly.
