Opening Cerim’s Crucible Door In No Rest for the Wicked
To open Cerim’s Crucible door you need to complete the last quest “Servant of God,” defeat the Riven Twins, speak to Roan and Elsa, and offer Fallen Embers to the statue in No Rest for the Wicked. This will unlock the gate and you will descend into your very first Cerim Trial.
Below, you can see all of the requirements to complete before opening the door:
Finish All Main Quests
Before unlocking Cerim’s Crucible, you need to make sure you have completed all main story quests of No Rest for Wicked including the very last one called “Servant of God.” This means you will also need to defeat the Riven Twins before heading over to Sacrament’s town square to trigger the Cerim cutscene.
After the cutscene, you can speak to Roan to start the Cerim’s Crucible endgame quest and finally unlock the door.
Speak To Roan
Speaking with Roan will officially start the “Spoken and Unspoken” mission which leads you to the Cerim’s Crucible and its door down at the cemetery. After the talk, Roan hands you a leather tome and tells you to find Elsa the historian, who can be found in the ruins below the Stone Mason’s Shop.
So, in order to find Elsa, head to the Cemetery, go up the stairs on the left, and head inside the Stone Mason’s shop. You will find a path underneath the shop that leads to the ruins and Elsa will be standing right at the very end of it.

Speak To Elsa
Once you hand over the tome to Elsa she will reveal that the key to unlocking the chamber is your blood and you will need to offer your blood at the pedestal to open it. After that’s done, head down and find the blue floating orb of Cerim Whisper and activate it.
Finally, Elsa will request you to bring back Fallen Embers for offering to open the Crucible doors, which you can most likely find in any unopened chest and enemy loot in the game. Hand over the Fallen Embers to Elsa and then offer one at the altar to start your first Cerim Trial.
All that’s left is to stand on the circular platform to descend into the Cerim’s Crucible and start your dungeon adventures.
