Nightingale is a unique survival game that tasks you to go into various different realms to find what you need. Soon you are going to be accumulating too many items to carry, and you will need to turn some of them into essences. But it’s a real issue when you only want to use half the stack but there seems to be no actual way to split stacks in Nightingale.
Ways To Split Stacks In Nightingale
To split stacks in Nightingale; interact with a chest, choose the item stack you want to split, and press the Shift key. You can also split stacks like this while using stations. This isn’t explained at all in the game, which is leading to some confusion.

Another way to split stacks is during the transfer of items to a chest. Whenever you attempt to put a full stack of items in a chest, the game will prompt you with a slider that allows you to select how many of those items need to be transferred.
Using the chest transfer method, you can split the stack and then take the split stack in the chest back into your inventory. This lets you effectively have two stacks of the same item. Hopefully, Inflexion Games will make this process easier and more streamlined in future updates.
