With the arrival of Fortnite Chapter 5, the popular Reboot Rally event has returned, offering players the chance to snag some exclusive cosmetic rewards for free. We know you’re all eager to get some free goodies, so look below for our detailed guide.
How To Get Free Rewards in Reboot Rally in Fortnite
To get rewards in Reboot Rally, you need to complete quests with a friend who hasn’t played Fortnite in the last 30 days. You’ll see a series of quests displayed in your Quest log that you can get through in any game mode.
What Is Reboot Rally?
Reboot Rally is an event run by Epic Games that encourages players to invite inactive friends back to the game. By participating, you can earn some cool cosmetic items that are not available anywhere else. It’s a great way to get back into the game, or benefit from bringing friends back.

When Does the Reboot Rally End?
The Reboot Rally event will run until January 9, 2024, at 9 AM Eastern Time. So, if you want to earn those free rewards, you’ll need to act quickly.
Will the Reboot Rally Rewards Go to the Item Shop?
We’re going to say no because event-related items tend not to end up in the item shop. There are rare occasions where they do, but we’d advise not to bet on it and just to complete the quests to get the free items.
Who Is Eligible for Reboot Rally in Fortnite?
Anyone who has played less than two hours of Fortnite in the last 30 days is considered an eligible player for Reboot Rally. So make sure your friend hasn’t logged in much within the past 30 days.

How To Unlock Fortnite Reboot Rally Rewards Without Friends
We never advise breaking the rules, but if you don’t have any inactive friends to bring back to the game, you can always do this with a brand-new player. So we’d recommend befriending a brand new account in Fortnite and joining up with that account.
So, theoretically, there is a way to beat this. Hypothetically, you could make a new Epic Games account, befriend it, and then play with that account. However, that would violate the Terms of Service, so we’d say not to do this.
