The Thaumaturge combat involves turn-based gameplay where you strategically choose your attacks and your Salutor attacks. But while most enemies fight hand to hand, some will have guns. Even Wiktor himself has a Revolver in the inventory. The question is how do you exactly use it to attack.
How To Attack With Revolver In The Thaumaturge
The Revolver in your inventory in The Thaumaturge will be used automatically by Wiktor when facing enemies with guns. The Revolver is not a separate weapon with a separate Attack. Instead, when you use your Attacks, Wiktor will use the gun animation instead of a melee animation. The attack and its damage will still be the same.

This can be confusing when you check your inventory early-game and see the Revolver but find no way to actually use it. It isn’t clear why it is an item in your inventory slot since you can’t actively interact with it in any way. Possibly, it’s just there for immersion purposes to signify that Wiktor carries a gun.
So don’t worry about the Revolver, Wiktor will use it whenever required. And it’s just a difference in the attack animation and nothing else. Attacks can only do more damage with upgrades and combos in The Thaumaturge, not by using weapons.
