The Ornate Key is an important item in Remnant 2 that you’ll come across while venturing through Yaesha. This key will play a vital role in unlocking some useful rewards that you will need during some of the tougher quests and battles. While the key itself is found with a fair bit of ease, its use is not all that clearly defined.
Where do you find the Ornate Key in Remnant 2?
While traversing the Yaesha realm, you’ll reach a location named Widow’s Court. This location features several enemies including a Pan Warrior. Once you have defeated the Pan Warrior, you’ll find the Ornate Key next to its corpse along with a vague note asking you to find a personal lockbox located in an undisclosed location within the Court. It is also mentioned that the items within are precious, and you are not to desecrate them by opening the lockbox.
While the obscure note does hint at something of great value contained in the box, there are no actual directions that lead us to it.
How to find the Ornate Box in Remnant 2?
Right at the center of the court, there is a giant hole with water flowing into it. You need to head to the lower level of the Widow’s Court through this hole. Once you’ve reached the partly submerged lower level of the court, head straight through the hallway till you reach the end. To your left, you’ll find a telltale wall. Heading through the shimmering wall will lead through another hallway that ends in an elevator mechanism.
Once you step onto the elevator, it leads you directly to a room on the upper level with the Ornate lockbox. It is quite easy to spot as it is on the table at the far side of the room. If you were to disregard the warning in the note and open the lockbox, you’ll find a Thaen seed.
The Thaen Seed is a key quest item which can be used in two different ways that can have completely different outcomes. Regardless of your choice, the rewards received by either means will be of great use to you as you progress further in the game.
