If you’re looking for ways to get an edge over your enemies in Semiwork’s early-access survival horror game R.E.P.O, you might be interested in improving your ability to avoid damage. That’s where the Tumble Launch comes in!
It improves your Tumble ability, upgrading it to become a potent tool against the monsters that creep up on you when you least expect it. In this guide, we dive into how to acquire and use the Tumble Launch.
What Is Tumbling In R.E.P.O?

Tumbling is one of the default abilities that your Robot uses in R.E.P.O to avoid damage. It essentially allows you to curl up into a ball, drastically reducing your size while allowing your teammates to throw you a fair distance away. It can be useful for covering more ground in a pinch but is most helpful when avoiding enemy attacks. This, though requires the throw to be executed with good timing.
However, with a rather expensive upgrade, Tumbling becomes a great tool to completely escape enemy attacks and perhaps even damage them in the process!
Acquire and Use the Tumble Launch in R.E.P.O.

As with all other upgrades in the game, you purchase the Tumble Launch from the Creator by trading in your hard-earned cash. It is steeply priced at $4000-$5000 but is well worth the investment considering its utility against a variety of enemies.
Once you rack up the Cash to purchase it, you can then use the Tumble Launch by pressing the jump button along with a Tumble. It can take a few tries to get the timing right but you will know you’ve done it right when your robot Tumbles and launches itself away in the direction you are indicating.
It is essentially a dodge roll that can also cause a bit of damage if you are able to position yourself well enough to clip enemies as you shoot past them.
It is sure to make your time with R.E.P.O a lot more entertaining, a sentiment that many other players seem to share, the creator of its inspiration Lethal Company among them.
