The First Descendant – How To Join Friends

The gruesome challenges in The First Descendant can be toned down by joining forces with your friends. Luckily, the shooter co-op lets you team up with up to four players in the same party. Here’s everything you need to know to join your friends in the First Descendant.

How To Join Friends in The First Descendant?

You can join your friends in The First Descendant by accessing the Social Menu. Here’s how to do it depending on your platform:

• PC: Press “M” on your keyboard.
• PlayStation & Xbox: Click on your controller’s map button to reveal the map screen. Then proceed to click on the Social tab.

Methods to Connect on The First Descendant

Once you are on the Social Menu, you can easily add your friends using their game ID. Alternatively, you can also choose to join local players or recent players.

Adding Friends by ID

Follow these steps after you have obtained your friend’s game ID:

1. Head to the social menu.
2. Under the Find User section, enter your friend’s game ID into the designated text box.
3. Once the player information is revealed to you, send them a friend request.

Note: The user ID is case sensitive, so make sure to enter the exact number and special character combination.

Finding Local Players

If you are in the same zone as your friend or simply want to add an active player in your area you need to:

1. Head to the Social Menu.
2. Check the Local Players section.
3. Find your friend or other player you wish to befriend in the game.
4. Send a friend request or party invite to the player.

Adding Recent Players

You can also add the players you recently played with:

1. Open Social Menu.
2. Visit the Recently Played section.
3. Find the player you wish to join.
4. Send them a friend request or party invite.

You can also befriend players or invite them to your party as you encounter them in the game world. All you need to do is interact with them, and a menu will pop up with different options.

Once you have your desired friends at The First Descendant, you can have a party with them. Doing this will bring all the players in the same zone and allow you to collaborate on missions.
