Larian Studios has released Baldur’s Gate 3 patch 5, which adds new playable epilogues to provide a fitting end to the journey of every character.
The new section loads up right before the end of the game after Netherbrain has been defeated. The epilogue is set six months after the events of the main story and offers players a chance to bid farewell to their allies.
This is the closure Larian considers its “final goodbye”. The developers explained in the patch notes,
“For the writers of Larian, this ‘final goodbye’ has been some of the most complex writing in the game so far, as it takes advantage of the game’s reactivity across the entire adventure.”
Patch 5 for Baldur’s gate 3 has a monstrous install size of about 130 GB and contains 3,589 new lines of writing, cinematics, and more. It adds two new game modes, the Korean language pack, fixes for patch 4’s slowdown issues, and much more.
