Bethesda Game Studios will be releasing an update for Fallout 4 on May 13th, 2024. The update will be available on all platforms where the game is currently found. Bethesda has basically said it’s going to fix the errors that came with the most recent update, but not in so many words.
The company stated on X (formerly Twitter) that this patch’s significant update involves the introduction of new graphics and performance settings. This will allow players to have more control over their Fallout 4 experience. Players who care about the game’s appearance can improve textures, lighting, and other visual elements. On the other hand, those who want smoother gameplay may choose to reduce visual detail for better performance. In reality, we’re sure it’s to fix all the issues that came in the next-gen update.
Bethesda has hinted at additional fixes and improvements, in addition to the customization options, as part of the May 13th update. This indicates that the patch will deal with remaining bugs and make general quality-of-life enhancements to the game. While the issues being addressed are currently unknown, players can expect a smoother and more stable Fallout 4 experience.

Even the comments under the tweet are awfully negative. Installed mods apparently didn’t take the update well, and we imagine this next update won’t consider them either.
The upcoming update shows that Bethesda is still supporting Fallout 4, a game that first came out in 2015. It’s hard to find people praising the most recent next-gen update, though. It caused a lot of issues, but if Bethesda manages to fix it, we may see a real comeback.
