Bungie, the developer behind Destiny 2, recently revealed it will be raising the cost of the Season Pass. From now on, Bungie will charge players 20% more every season—an increase from 1,000 Silver to 1,200 Silver—for its Season Pass. This effectively means the price has gone up from to $12 per season. In case you are new to Destiny 2, the game allows players to purchase the pass with in-game cash, which itself can be bought with real money.
Although the Destiny 2 Season Pass is not a must to play the game, it offers players various benefits that improve their gaming experience. Owning the pass gives players more experience points, which allows them to level up more quickly, as well as a weekly bonus for a few levels of Season Pass. These benefits are especially helpful for individuals who want to catch up to more experienced players.
This extra price hike may worry some gamers as the price of Destiny 2 expansions has already gone up from $40 to $50. Bungie has also revealed a 10% price increase for their Season Pass rank packages. These bundles speed up the process of filling up the progress bars for each season. The cost of the +10 Ranks Bundle has gone from 2,000 Silver up to 2,200 Silver, or $20 to $22.
🚨Bungie is increasing the price of Season Pass in #Destiny2 starting Season 21.

The Final Shape, the next major update that is currently planned for next year, will not affect those who have already purchased the full year of seasonal access via the deluxe version of Destiny 2: Lightfall, even though the price increase will affect those who individually purchase season passes in Destiny 2.
Is the Season Pass price hike a good move by Bungie?
There has been an ongoing debate regarding the quality of the seasonal content in Destiny 2, despite the fact that it is very inexpensive and frequently uses the same weapons and armor from prior Destiny expansions. Bungie has promised an increase expenditure to create exciting seasonal experiences throughout the year for Lightfall, so maybe this price rise will lead to users receiving more accessories.
At this point Bungie should just do a subscription model that gives you everything expansion to access in destiny 2 including the season pass content for the season you hit the subscription for. FFOnline does it. This will just make people not wanna try new content even more 🤷🏿♂️ https://t.co/zWAe7nGNR2
