Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis has finally hit Steam. To celebrate the launch of the Steam version, Square Enix is giving away 1,000 Blue Crystals to new players.
Ever Crisis’ Steam release follows its Android and iOS launch earlier this year. Developed by Applibot and Square Enix, it is a retro-style gacha RPG with episodic stories of young Sephiroth.
Just like on the mobile platforms, FF7 Ever Crisis follows a free-to-play model, and according to many fans, incorporates an unhealthy amount of microtransactions.
For hardcore Final Fantasy fans on Steam, this might be a good timesink till FF7 Rebirth finally makes its way to the platform following the initial PS5 launch in February 2024.
As a silver lining, you can see everything Final Fantasy 7 Ever Crisis has to offer without spending a dime since it’s a free game. But keep in mind that it would require copious amounts of grinding to get to that point.
Throwing fan-favorite FF7 characters into the mix, Ever Crisis lets you form your party with the likes of Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Zack, and more. There is also a three-member co-op feature that will let you play with your friends.
