GTA: The Trilogy Definitive Edition on Netflix Games has surpassed over 18 million downloads. The trilogy, comprising three GTA games, GTA: San Andreas, GTA: Vice City, and GTA III, was released on Netflix Games on December 14, 2023.
According to a report published by mobilegamer.biz (first spotted by Insider Gaming), the 18 million downloads for GTA Trilogy on Netflix Games are across both iOS and Android devices. San Andreas is the most popular among the three, drawing over 11.6 million downloads. Vice City has been downloaded over 4.1 million times, while GTA III has the lowest downloads at 2.4 million.
The mobile version of GTA Trilogy saw many positive reviews by fans. The current version, accessible through Netflix Games, features several changes and an overall enhanced gameplay experience than the previous Definitive Edition that was released in 2021.
Netflix has been noticing significant momentum in game downloads, a growth attributed to previous highly attractive titles, like Asphalt: Xtreme, Too Hot To Handle: Love Is A Game, and Stranger Things: 1984. But it is the GTA Trilogy that has monumentally contributed to the popularity of the streaming giant’s gaming service.
Currently, GTA: San Andreas tops the Netflix game’s most-downloaded list, followed by Annapurna Interactive’s Storyteller at 9.6 million and Too Hot To Handle at 8.6 million downloads. GTA Vice City has managed to secure the tenth position on the list.
