Ever since it was first rumored in 2021, Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake has been a subject of a lot of speculations and leaks. There were rumors about a deal between Sony and Konami for PS exclusivity of this remake, along with a new Castlevania game and Silent Hill 2 PS5 remake.

Jez says he’s almost sure that the announcement for Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will be made during the PlayStation Showcase on May 24. When asked about any news on the Castlevania game that was also rumored at the same time as Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, he claimed that the source he used to confirm the MSG3 Remake is the same one as the rumors about Castlevania. He doesn’t confirm the Castlevania game, however simply states that:
“This elevates the likelihood of Castlevania rumors in my view”
Launched originally in 2004 for PS2, Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is an extremely popular stealth-action combat game directed by Hideo Kojima. Players embody a FOX agent codenamed Naked Snake through the Soviet jungles in 1964. With this game, Konami, the game’s original developer, seems to be looking for a way to make a splash in the current-gen category. If the remake proves to be a success, it won’t be a long time before they think about bringing the rest of their popular titles into the modern gaming era.
