While fans of the popular gaming series Persona await the sixth instalment of the game, recent leaks have hinted towards the developer working on a spin-off for Persona 5.
According to Twitter user MbKKssTBhz5, the publisher of this series, Atlus, has registered a standalone domain on May 16, titled P5T. This has led the gaming community to believe that Atlus is currently working on a new Persona 5 title, rather than Persona 6. Atlus is notorious regarding its famous RPG, Persona, as they keep dropping hints about various developments to keep fans on their toes.

This revelation has left the gaming community wondering about what the T in P5T might be denoting. Atlus has always registered standalone domains for its titles, for example:
- P5D (registered May 2017) stood for Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight
- P5R (registered May 2017) stood for Persona 5: Royal
- P5S (registered late 2018) stood for Persona 5: Strikers
Some claim that the T stands for Tournament, while others believe it to be Tactics. Persona 5: Two seems to be the most popular guess.
While this news is certainly exciting for the fans of the series, the domain registration does not, however, mean that the associated game will be released anytime soon. Atlus has registered a variety of domains during May 2017 that haven’t been released or even announced as of yet. However, with a PlayStation showcase and the Summer Game Fest approaching, there is still hope that this leak would turn into a promising update.
Whether this new domain is a proof of a Persona 5 spin-off under development or just a clever ruse to throw gamers off the scent from Persona 6, only time will tell.
What do you think P5T stands for? Are you hoping for another Persona 5 spin-off or waiting for Persona 6? Let us know in the comments.
