Octopath Traveler came out in 2018. The game looks old-fashioned, like the classic RPGs from Japan, and it’s about the connected stories of eight travelers. Each person has special skills that can be used in fights and other scenes, so players have lots of choices in how they play.
Octopath Traveler II came out in February 2024. It happens in a new time in the same world as the first game. Players get to control eight new travelers, each with their own story and skills. The sequel improves the fighting system and adds new things like “Extra Battle” mode. This lets players test their skills against tough opponents after they finish the main story.
